FBuddy Pro: Quickstart Guide

Overview

Pro is pricey and a big commitment, but this quickstart shows how to set up a few simple tools that can help you earn that money back with little extra work. Results are different for every creator, but these steps are a solid first move.

  • Save renewals before people lapse
  • Turn renewals into friendly DMs that lead to small purchases
  • Message people when they’re online so you get more replies
  • Send targeted offers to the right fans

Useful links:

1) Auto Messages - Expiring Subscriber

What it does: sends a gentle reminder before someone’s sub ends.

Needs: a Management Session with “Send Messages”. Setup: https://fbuddy.net/docs/fansly-management-session-setup/

Set it up:

  • “FB” button (top right of Fansly) -> Auto Messages -> New Auto Message
  • Choose “Expiring Subscriber” and pick how many days before expiry
  • Optional: limit to a specific tier
  • Write a short, friendly note

Some examples:

  • “Your sub ends soon - renew this week and I’ll send a little thank-you.”
  • “Just a heads-up your sub is ending. Want to stay? I’d love to keep you.”
  • “Anything I could do to make next month worth it for you?”

Why it helps: even a few saved renewals can cover Pro, and it runs on its own.

2) Auto Messages - Renewal Milestone

What it does: thanks people the moment they reach a renewal milestone.

Needs: same “Send Messages” permission as above.

Set it up:

  • “FB” button (top right of Fansly) -> Auto Messages -> New Auto Message
  • Choose “Renewal Milestone” and pick the month
  • Send a short thank-you and offer a small perk or mini-set
  • Ask what they’d like next - keep it personal and simple

Why it helps: one small upsell after a renewal can pay for Pro for the month.

3) Online Users -> Mass Direct Message

What it does: sends a message to people who are online right now.

Where to find it: Online Users panel (top right of Fansly) -> Mass Direct Message (the button with the send icon).

Why it works:

  • You message active fans, so replies are higher
  • Sending is fast
  • You can use Fansly’s custom names for a personal touch

How to use it:

  • Keep it short with one clear ask
  • Add a name variable if you’ve set custom names
  • Send during your usual busy times

4) Smart Lists - Precise Targeting

What it does: keeps auto-updated fan lists so you can target better.

You can target:

  • Top % spenders (like top 10%)
  • Spend brackets (for example $100-$250)
  • Auto-renew ON/OFF per tier

Set it up:

  • “FB” button (top right of Fansly) -> Smart Lists -> turn on the lists you want
  • Use those lists for Mass Direct Message, posts and anywhere else where you can use Fansly’s lists

Example:

  • Early access drop to “Top 10%”
  • Gentle discount to “$100-$250”

Final Note

Not every message turns into money, and that’s normal. Aim for a few saved renewals or one small upsell here and there. Keep messages short and friendly, and let these tools handle the timing for you.
