Current Global FYP Situation
A look at the current global FYP situation and what is happening.
Current Global FYP Situation
Update 2025-09-29
Good news everyone! I reported my FYP findings to Fansly and there was indeed an issue which has been fixed now. You will most likely see changes in your numbers in the coming days.
This is a massive change, #fyp went from 20-40k posts to 462.3K posts for example and all the other tags have also seen a massive increase/they are back to a stable number again.
We will see how this plays out over the coming days. It will definitely be interesting to see how this affects the FYP and the platform overall.
Overview
Some of you may have noticed that your FYP statistics are way different than they used to be a month ago. Let me start off by saying that I don’t intend this to be a negative post, I’m just sharing the data that I collect, what I’ve noticed and my thoughts on it. Please don’t harass any Fansly staff members or anything like that, this is just a data analysis and I’m not trying to say that something is wrong with the platform.
Data
I’ve started collecting data about Fansly’s Tag on June 12, 2025. They only provided a lifetime view count for tags back then. This changed on July 28, 2025, and they changed it and only provided a 90-day post count for tags and one day later (July 29, 2025) they provided the view count for tags again, but the number is not lifetime anymore, and I’m actually not sure what it is, let’s just assume that it is the number of views for the last 90 days.
Where can you see this data? Fansly only shows the post count for tags right now, which you can see here: https://fansly.com/explore/tag/ass (or for any other tag). The view count is only accessible via their API. That’s too much to explain, but trust me it’s there.
I store Fansly’s raw data in my database, and you can look at it yourself here: ftoolbox
Observations
The majority of the top 100 tags has seen a steady increase in post and view counts since July 29, 2025. This is a good sign for Fansly and shows that the platform is growing.
However, the post count changed drastically on September 6, 2025, and I’m not sure why and what is happening since then. On that day there has been a pretty big drop in the post count, -1.2M (-1250419, -15.85%, from 7886430 down to 6636011) posts to be exact. Now, this by itself is not a big deal in my opinion. It could be a simple mass deletion of a certain type of posts, but ever since then the post count has not been stable at all. Keep in mind that the post count technically indicates the amount of posts in the “pool” that users can see when they visit a specific tag. The combined post count may or may not be the number of posts in the global FYP “pool”, but I have no way of knowing/confirming/checking that.
What do I mean by “not stable at all”? Let’s look at some graphs for some of the top tags:

It’s pretty obvious where the drop is happening and that it has not been stable since then. There are some outliers, tho:

These have not crashed at all and are still steadily increasing. This makes this whole thing even more confusing, and I’m not sure what to make of it.
My thoughts
Now you could say that the tags with the “unstable” post count are tags where people are constantly getting banned and removed from the platform, the hentai accounts for example. That’s possible, but keep in mind that this has been happening since September 6, that would be such a huge amount of creators which all went through the verification process and so on. I can’t see that happening. You could also say that they simply changed the window from 90 days to something else, but I don’t think that the case either, because some of the tags jump back to their previous post count.
What is also weird is that there are days when the post count of a tag goes down by like 5k posts and then the next day it goes up 19k posts and then down by 14k again:

You may ask why I focus so much on the post count and not the view count? The view count is simply stable during all of this. Meaning that there are fewer posts in the pool, but the views are still the same. This means that posts that are in the pool should technically get more views. But this could also mean that “legitimate posts” might not be shown.
Something about this doesn’t seem right to me, like how are there tags where the post count doubles in just one day, and then it goes down drastically the next day? This is a 90-day window, and everything was stable for an entire month before all of this.
Conclusion
Honestly, no idea what is going on. I don’t want to say that something is broken, but at least from the data I have it doesn’t look correct. Just know that a sudden drop in your FYP performance might not be related to your content.
Feel free to share your thoughts on Discord, Fansly DMs and so on. I might just be missing something…
